Brabourne Stadium was established in the year of 1937 in Mumbai, this stadium is under the Cricket Club Of India(CCI). Till 2016, before the Wankhede Stadium establishment, The Board Of Control for Cricket in India office and the 1983 World Cup trophy both are in the Brabourne Stadium Campus. After the Wankhede Stadium establishment BCCI office and the 1983 World Cup trophy, both are shifted to the Wankhede Stadium campus.

The Stadium has hosted Cricket, tennis, and Football matches also. Some musical events are also held here. The stadium hosted the first test match between India & West Indies in 1948, between 1948 & 1973 17 test matches has been played. On 23rd October 1989, the first International One Day match has been played here, the first Twenty-twenty International was played here on 20 October 2007 between India and Australia.

Brabourne has hosted as a home ground for Mumbai Indians in the 3rd season of the Indian Premier League(IPL), Also hosted the eliminator matches of the seventh edition of the Indian Premier League. Brabourne Stadium is one of the four stadiums that are hosting the league matches of the fifteenth edition of IPL(IPL 2022).
